Acquainting with the latest international scientific achievements in the field of social sciences and developing the student's scientific interests.

6 semestrów (180 godzin dydaktycznych)
Extramural program, meetings convene once a month
Program Organization
Criteria for completing the postgraduate program
- Presence and active participation in classes
- Completion of subjects included in the study program in each semester
- Preparation of at least one scientific article or monograph for publication
Graduate Characteristics
The study program will allow you to acquire knowledge, competences and skills necessary for independent research and teaching in the field of social sciences.
Graduate of Postgraduate Studies Start for Ph.D. in Social Sciences:
- has in-depth knowledge of the latest scientific achievements in the field of social sciences;
- has in-depth knowledge of the methodology of scientific research in social sciences;
- has the skills necessary to manage research projects;
- has professional knowledge regarding the preparation of scientific publications;
- has high skills in preparing public speaking;
- is aware of the ethical aspects of conducting research.
Fees
Wysokość opłaty semestralnej dla edycji rozpoczynającej się w roku akademickim 2024/2025 wynosi - 7 834 zł (1 750 EUR) zł, a całościowej - 47 000 zł (10 500 EUR).

The teaching staff consists of research and teaching staff of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Gdańsk, special guests from other universities and practitioners with experience in conducting training courses in the field of studies. The core of the staff consists of scientists with professors' and Ph.D.’ titles in the field of social sciences, in the disciplines of: psychology, sociology, education and the political science, with extensive substantive knowledge, documented by international scientific publications, as well as experience in obtaining funds for scientific research, confirmed by obtained scientific grants on both national and international levels . In addition, they are people with very extensive experience in caring for Ph. D. students, having both key competences for the didactic process, as well as extensive professional experience, embedded in practice, which allows for up-to-date and complementary setting of the formulated research problems in the perspective of social sciences.
