About us

The Doctoral School at the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics of the University of Gdansk brings together doctoral students from the disciplines of mathematics and physical sciences.

PhD students are supervised by independent researchers from the Faculty and from International Centre for Theory of Quantum Technologies. The framework education programme of the School fosters knowledge and skills useful in the PhD students' professional careers. In accordance with the idea behind the establishment of the Doctoral Schools', the education programme provides an opportunity to acquire skills relevant for conducting research and for teaching students.  All subjects in the programme are taught by academic staff of UG, as well as by invited guests from leading research centres in Poland and from abroad.
