The Council of Pomeranian Province has decided to make the year 2015 the Year of Mathematics in Pomerania.

Mr Mieczysław Struk, Marshall of the Pomeranian Province explains: “The Year of Mathematics in Pomerania may constitute and important incentive and inspiration for undertaking valuable initiatives, which will make it possible to increase innovativeness and enhance attractiveness of our region, thus contributing to the development of Pomerania and improvement of quality of life of its inhabitants. The undertaken activities should and help everyone, from the youngest ones to adults, to overcome their prejudice.”
