Institute of Mathematics invites to a lecture "Some recent results about local and global Lipschitz properties of definable sets" which will be given by prof. Vincent Grandjean from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Florianópolis, Brasil.
The lecture will take place on Thursday January 30, 2025 at 11.15 in room A218 .

The invention of dr inż. Aneta Lewkowicz concerning an innovative method for visualising dactyloscopic traces has been granted protection by the Polish Patent Office. The invention will significantly affect the acquisition of fingerprint impressions made on difficult surfaces.

Ministerial scholarships for outstanding young scientists
For the 19th time, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education has awarded scholarships to outstanding young scientists. The results of the proceedings were announced on Friday 21st June. Eight scientists from the University of Gdańsk, including two from the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics, were among those awarded.
We would like to congratulate Dr Natalia Majewska from the Institute of Experimental Physics and Dr Marcin Łobejko from the Institute of Theoretical Physics and Astrophysics on their success.
